About Me
Growing up in the Seattle area, I spent much of my time outdoors, learning to appreciate how small parts of an ecosystem connect to something larger. That perspective shaped the way I think about software.
Outside the terminal I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. My dad cooked constantly growing up, and later working at YunGaNe, a Korean restaurant, deepened that. Cooking and coding scratch the same itch for me: a concrete problem, a process, something you can taste at the end.

ML Pet Behavior Monitor
A live camera watches my rabbits and labels what they do: zoomies, yawning, grooming, standing, or resting. I trained the TensorFlow.js model on MobileNetV2 embeddings and 170+ clips I labeled by hand, reaching 81% validation accuracy. A headless Node agent samples the feed, runs inference, emails me clips of notable behavior, and serves a private live stream.

Production platform used by active researchers. Designed a normalized schema across 15 PostgreSQL/PostGIS tables storing 700+ real-world cleanup locations, with spatial filtering and aggregation queries. Built the Flask/GeoJSON backend and Leaflet map interface, deployed end-to-end.

Conducted primary user research with immigrants and drew on peer-reviewed literature on digital exclusion to drive design decisions. Shipped a free, multilingual platform giving immigrants direct access to civic guides, legal information, and a searchable directory of 50+ local support organizations. No account required.

A dual-provider LLM architecture (Groq cloud + Ollama local) with real-time Server-Sent Events streaming, OpenStreetMap venue injection to cut hallucinations, and a cross-day deduplication system using canonical landmark IDs, accent folding, and token-overlap matching to keep multi-day itineraries coherent.
